Neo’s Lolly Jism

You will soon come to realise that the title of this blog bears little or no relevance to the content of it. I’m not going to apologise though, because Neo’s Lolly Jism pleases me too much.

So, what is the point of this blog?

I mean, what’s the point of anything on this site, really, but this one in particular.

The word Sidereal.

I’ve had this word stuck in my head for weeks now. I don’t know what put it there, and until this morning, I didn’t know what it meant. I wasn’t even sure how to pronounce it.

In my brain, I was saying it si-deer-real, which turns out to be correct. So, whatever put in my brain in the first place, must have been acoustic.

One could pronounce is side-real. Or cider-reel. Or cider-real, like the Spanish footballists.

I didn’t even know if it was a real word.

It felt like a real word, eventhough it also felt like a made up one (hence Neo’s Lolly Jism).

It is a real word.

And it means ‘with respect to the distant stars’.

This is the end of the blog.
