Keeping Mum

It’s been a while since we delved into The Radio Times Guide To TV Comedy, so let’s have another look around shall we?

On page 376, chosen at random, we come across the Stephanie Cole vehicle Keeping Mum. This sitcom has the rare distinction of being the first Australian comedy ever adapted for a UK channel, and as such, the BBC had the original creator write the remake.

It was based on the show Mother And Son.

Which lasted for nine years, and had an airing on Channel 4 in the mid 1980s.

I can’t find any clips of Keeping Mum, but I sort of remember seeing bits of it … maybe. And as you can see, the whole thing is available on DVD.
