Moviedrome

Or When Two Tweets Collide

I scrolled quickly past a tweet the other day, which then got lost in the ether, but it stuck with me. It asked what was the last thing you watched on a black and white portable television.

The answer for me is probably The X Files, though I can’t be sure.

Another tweet, also lost, directed me to a list of all the films that were shown as part of the Moviedrome strand on BBC Two.

Which reminded me of just how many of those films I watched on that black and white portable television.

Weirdly, the first four links on YouTube to Moviedrome are the four films I most remember watching on it.

And also weirdly, I remember the intros being much longer. I think that’s because I really remember this one, the intro to the other film I most recall watching.
