The Noel Edmonds Show On ABC

This has popped up a few times on my social media over the past few days. How much of it can you watch without plugging your ears shut with your own eyeballs?

Any reader of Bill Carter will know that ABC spent a long time trying to get a late night chat show going, and if this is anything to go by, you can see why. It was a pilot run of five episodes over a week in June of 1986, and this was the last of those.

I only got about three minutes in, but enjoyed Noel demonstrating his helicoptering skills. There’s a weird edit at the end of the audience sequence, masked badly with a laugh from somewhere else. I get the feeling this wasn’t recorded as live, like most late night shows.
