Fry & Laurie Host A Christmas Night With The Stars

It seems odd to me to see Fry & Laurie in a sketch with the tailors from The Fast Show. I mean, intellectually I know the two shows overlapped in time, but somehow they occupy different universes, and The Fast Show happened after ABOFAL, even though it didn’t.

Anyway, before the fourth series of ABOFAL aired, they hosted the revival of Christmas Night With The Stars. Here are their linking bits from the show.

This looks like it was a good show to me, and there are some great moments in the clips above. According to Jem Roberts though, in his excellent book Soupy Twists!, some viewers were far from pleased, and Hugh himself says, “I don’t remember it being anything but an awkward mess.’
