Letterman Before Late Night

Before The Late Show, before Late Night, even before his morning show, David Letterman was trying to ready himself to be the next talk show superstar, a role that didn’t really exist back then. He made a pilot game show, called The Riddlers.

This was around the same time has his appearance on established game shows, such as Password Plus.


Other appearances included The Smart Alecks and Decisions, Decisions.

But even before he was on network TV, he was at his local ABC affiliate, either hosting the weather, presenting a kid’s show, or doing the wrap arounds for the movie night.
