Thursdays Are Funny

When I was growing up, I always associated Thursdays with BBC sitcoms. You could watch two at 8pm on BBC One, switch over, and watch maybe two more on BBC Two. For a time, around 2007, the BBC remembered this, and tried to brand a new strand of comedies as Thursdays Are Funny.

There are some good shows in there, but what do you think of the branding itself? I’m not sure what, if anything, it has to do with comedy.
