KYTV aired on BBC Two from May 1990 to October 1993, and ran for three series. It was written by Angus Deayton and Geoffrey Perkins, who also appeared in it as Mike Channel and Mike Flex, alongside Helen Atkinson-Wood, Micheal Fenton Stevens, and Phillip Pope. It came to TV via a pilot on the Comic Asides slot (which also birthed I, Lovett, Mornin’ Sarge, and later The High Life).
