e.phemera: Hi-De-Hi!

Or should that be Hi De Hi? It depends how early on in the series we’re talking I suppose. This is based on the real-life experiences of Jimmy Perry and David Croft (Perry was a Red Coat).

Exteriors were shot at the real-life Warners camp in Dovercourt.

Interesting to me at least, is that the listings either side of Hi-De-Hi! in The Radio Times Guide To TV Comedy are Hi There!, a Benny Hill vehicle, and Bill Hicks.
