Sometimes you write a sketch, and the final product bears no resemblance to the way you imagined it. And sometimes it gets nailed, and matches perfectly what you had in your mind. This is one such sketch from Smack The Pony, which even has the exact camera angle I envisaged.

Doon and Sally got many more jokes out of the idea than I wrote with their performances – but my favourite line is one they ad libbed themselves. ‘I don’t speak lexical’ is lovely.
