SNL’s Seinfeld Crime Scene

I’m not sure that this sketch starts well, but as it goes on, it grows on me, and the moment when they corpse is lovely.

I’m irked of course, by the lack of fidelity the set has to the real Seinfeld set. It sort of feels right, but it’s also completely wrong. It’s too wide, too low, the bike is the wrong colour, the kitchen is missing, the wall angles are off, and well, never mind. It’s good enough for the joke.

This aired as part of the 11th November 2011 episode, and as far as I can see no other sketch required a Seinfeld set, so it wasn’t written around set needs. I can find no reference to who wrote this either, annoyingly.
