The Sketch Show Overseas

After winning a BAFTA for its first series, The Sketch Show was actually cancelled before the end of its second series, with episodes left that have never been broadcast.

Meanwhile, the format sold well overseas, with versions in Greece (Skertsakia), Canada, Israel (Ktsarim), Indonesia (Sketsa), and Italy.

Which provides a fun opportunity to do this. Here’s the California Dreaming sketch from the British show.

And here’s the same sketch in the US version, which was also called The Sketch Show, and starred Kelsey Grammar (as well as Lee Mack), and aired on Fox in 2005.
