Seinfeld often did little call-backs in later episodes, to the point that the last scene mirrored the first – but here’s one that slipped through the net. The first part is actually one of my favourite exchanges in the whole show, and it’s made all the more brilliant because it serves no purpose other than to delay a plot point.
