Jimmy James was a music hall, radio, television and film comedian, enjoying a career that spanned from 1904 to his death in 1965. When you think of music hall, you’re more likely to think of Arthur Atkinson than you are to think of Jimmy or Marie Lloyd, but here’s one of his famous sketches, often referred to only as The Shoebox Sketch.
