Sitcom Advent Calendar Day Twenty Two

As I open the doors on the Sitcom Advent Calendar, I’m struck by how many sitcoms have stuck with me just from their theme tune alone. Men Of The World is another such example, though the only line I can ever recall is “avoiding the cracks in the pavement”.

Anyway, this one starred John Simm (yes, John Simm), and David Threlfall, and aired on BBC One for two series in 1994 and 1995. It was written by Daniel Peacock, who you will recognise from a number of shows, not least The Comic Strip Presents … and The Young Ones.

Aside from the theme tune, I remember that John Simm played a character called Kendall, and this is the only clip of it I could find:
