Awful Alan

On the weekend before Alan Partridge’s new chat show Knowing Me, Knowing You … arrived on BBC Two screens, he gave a short interview to the Daily Mirror. This is how it appeared on Saturday 10th September, 1994.

Then, the day before the show began, this snooty (but probably prescient) warning arrived in the pages of The Stage.

Jaci Stephen was pleased with the first episode, in the Mirror, the following weekend.

But John Price, in the Liverpool Echo, wasn’t.
