After co-authoring five, yes FIVE, novels with Gordon Williams (under the pseudonym PB Yuill), the detective they created together became the eponymous hero of Thames Television’s Hazell.

I think I best know him as Rick’s lecturer in The Young Ones, to be honest.

Hazell ran for two series and a total of 22 episodes from January 1978 to July 1979.
