The Greatest American Hero

The whole thrust of the following is this: why have I never seen the show The Greatest American Hero?

But we’ll get to that in a bit.

First, here’s the opening title sequence for the series.

So that resolves a Seinfeld moment that I’ve never fully understood.

The Greatest American Hero was a show about a man who is given a suit by aliens, a suit that emboldens him with superpowers. It was created by Stephen J Cannell (yes, The A-Team guy), and ran for three seasons on ABC from 1981 to 1983.

But from what I can see, it never aired in the UK.

I have no idea why. This is the sort of show I would have lapped up at that time, and that age.

Fortunately, it’s on some streaming services right now, so I can remedy this oversight.
