Forgotten Panel Shows: That’s Showbusiness

I’m amazed that this one had fallen out of my brain.

That’s Showbusiness was created by Jeremy Pascall and Phil Swern. It ran for 132 episodes over eight series on BBC One from 1989 to 1996. It was hosted by Mike Smith, and initially had two teams of three, with Gloria Hunniford and Kenny Everett acting as captains. As you can see, the set was horrible, bland, and totally wrong for the show.

Come series four, the format changed, so there were now only two team members on each side, and no captain. And the set became much more fitting for the show.

Here’s the trailer for the Christmas special.
