Between its well-received pilot outing, and its less well-received series, The Peter Principle underwent a number of cast and character changes. Leslie Sharp was replaced by Claire Skinner, Linda Bassett by Janette Legge, and David Gant by Stephen Moore, while the eponymous character was renamed from Duff to Duffley.
