Holsten Griffs

I’d completely forgotten about these until I came across them yesterday. A capaign in the late 1980s for Holsten Pils, fronted by Griff Rhys Jones, which played on the Dead Men Don’t Wear Plaid movie with Steve Martin. Each ad featured a scene from an old movie, edited into which was Griff and his bottle of booze. And it was all topped off with ‘A Holsten Pils Production’ bumper. The campaign was devised by Gold Greenlees Trott, with some of the ads directed by Graham Rose, as well as Daniel Kleinman.
